Motion Design
Hardwired- Music Video
Assignment: Create a 60-120 second poetry, lyric, or music video that illustrated our chosen piece. Had to incorporate a form of low tech or alternative process such as stop motion or refilming of text without using computer-generated text. Video footage had to be filmed ourselves and had to have a minimum of 15 shots. We needed 4 audio clips and could use audio sweetening.
Pollute For Your Friends- PSA
Assignment: Create a PSA that used our own voice-over, and that supported some sort of issue we choose to bring awareness to. We were to keep in mind emotional, logical and perhaps even comedic techniques to get the point across. We used our motion design skills and other graphic skills to make an intriguing Public Service Announcement.
Coffee-Stained Hi-Fi
Assignment: Create a branding strategy for a mundane object (an object that is not culturally valued and has little to no economic value), which could create a unique and lasting image in the marketplace and result in an increased overall market share. Also we were asked to research and create a brand strategy and identity for this project.
Existential Stop Motion
Assignment: Create an experimental still-frame animation that explored, first and foremost, the Butterfly question asked by Chuang Tzu. Beyond that, we were allowed to explore any other Existential themes we wanted to, including but not limited to, the inherent freedom of humankind, the angst that stems from that freedom, the responsibility that comes along with that freedom, etc.
True Crime Network Package
Assignment: Create a short video with multiple new techniques we learned throughout the semester in after effects. Rebrand an already existing Network with our assigned team.
